Can't beat the buzz of wild swimming in winter. This is my second winter swimming in skins and enjoying the amazing nature connection but also the wonderful camaraderie of swimming with fellow enthusiasts.

Great fun doing the @rspb.bsky.social big garden birdwatch recently! It's great to not only see amazing birds visit but also help with an important national survey. Highlights included 11 long tailed tits all at once! Plus a pheasant, nuthatch, varied tits, robins, sparrows, goldfinch & more.

My research on the utility of outdoor swimming has included a case study on two swimmers who had previously attempted suicide but had now become great advocates for the benefits of swimming in natural environments to improve mental health. Journal title: 'From a dark place to a blue space'.
