So yes! Vaccinate and mask!!

… we all need more than social media allows for. And to be open for critique when our communication is potentially unclear. We have a common goal to prevent illness and disability from preventable disease.

The answer is an obvious YES. I think your first post was unclear. I agree with your overall premise the way you’ve explained it. But it required more explanation than your original post. That’s all. I applaud you for trying to keep your community healthy 👍👍…

Think beyond one tool. Yes. Doing so BECAUSE vaccine skepticism exists. Nope. First is to reject the premise of the skepticism in the first place. Then sure, share all the info you want about other methods ON TOP of vaccines. That is not what your post communicated.

CDC has VIS sheets on all vaccines. CHOP also has great vaccine info. Have at it. 👍

You literally said “do this instead of relying on vaccines which are garnering skepticism”. At the very least you are not communicating your point clearly, if you meant to also be supportive of vaccines.

Or, use your platform to spread facts about the vaccine. 🤷‍♀️

(Also unless someone is going to mask 24/7, no, it is not a way to avoid measles…)
March 30, 2025 at 6:47 PM
I never said outrageous. I am saying your post is using masking to give credence to vaccine skepticism and subtly casting doubt on their effectiveness. Which is irresponsible.

Good. No one should come here. Let this country FAFO. I’d leave if I could. And I am not spending one single dollar outside of my blue haven of Massachusetts for a long long time.

The biggest reason BY FAR for the MMR vaccine not working, is not getting one. We should be encouraging the vaccine hesitant to get vaccinated NOT giving them reasons to look elsewhere for prevention that will ultimately be less successful.
March 30, 2025 at 12:28 PM
This is not a great take. Vaccines are not “garnering more and more skepticism.” Vaccines are being politicized and misinformation is literally killing people. That is not a reason to “not rely on vaccines” because they are literally the BEST tool we have to prevent measles. Hands down.

With all due respect, you as a member of congress are the one with the power here. The administration is breaking the law. Exercise your rights as a congressperson and impeach the MF. Posting on social media and asking constituents to hastag isn’t it.

I live this now in private practice! As the youngest practice owner I am often told I am too friendly with our nursing staff by my partners. My work day would be much less fulfilling (and less productive!) without my relationships with our nurses.

MA DPH sent out the same notice this week. Wouldn’t assume it means they think it’s already out there, but no other way to catch cases unless we’re looking for it…

I have felt this in my soul but appreciate the data to back it up. I have always been irked by the peds conferences and dept meetings I go to that have men as majority speakers, in this female dominated field. What can we do to encourage more women in leadership in peds?
