What a great article! And so true. Mine wasn't fab either, IVF, no idea if it would mean the end of endometriosis, very early, etc. But yes, huge benefits after, no monthly pain/vomiting/fainting. No HRT for me, wasn't able to. Just headed for next chapter. And yes the stigma needs to end!

Oh my mum can but only if we take her carefully (which we do a lot!). But again, we are lucky because we have a car. It's nice your mum still has friends. I was speaking to my old school friend the other day: my mum may be the only one from our crappy estate to have made it to her 80s, bless her.

We only moved back here so mum wouldn't be alone. I feel for people with young families etc who don't have the privilege of being able to help. Mum's friends are all dead, as are her fellow cleaners & no one in her home is well enough to go out alone. We're so lucky & sorry for others who aren't.

I am so sorry too. My husband is on ILR and so long as we have my very ill, elderly mum here we will stay. But after that we will go back to the continent. (He won't give up his EU nationality, which he was told he would have to, to get citizenship here). We're on borrowed time, I think.
