I have a favor to ask. Encourage friends & connections in red states to contact their senators about maintaining NASA & NOAA budgets $ for earth science that are on the chopping block. Without these assets, the outlook for our understanding of extreme weather and climate change is sobering.

Scientists need to have big picture awareness to communicate climate change impacts & consequences effectively.
I recommend “The Sirens’ Call” by Chris Hayes, “The Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory” by Tim Alberta and “Ungoverning” by Morehead & Rosenberg for perspective on Trump 2.0.
