Yes! Sometimes I ask my undergraduates what they think I do when they’re not on campus, and it’s always illuminating (and often a little depressing).

Try to enjoy every minute of the day, particularly as it will fly by. Know how proud all your lecturers are of you. And wear shoes you can walk in!

Isn’t it amazing how a change of scene can give you a boost? I’ve literally written 2500 words of a new paper since I came back from Paris - I need to finish it before this unaccustomed energy dissipates!
