Spent the last couple days back in Ithaca for the Intercampus Cancer Metabolism Symposium where it was a pleasure giving a keynote address related to our work exploring the intersection of obesity and genetics, and their role in driving breast cancer risk.

Spent the last couple days back in Ithaca for the Intercampus Cancer Metabolism Symposium where it was a pleasure giving a keynote address related to our work exploring the intersection of obesity and genetics, and their role in driving breast cancer risk.
Running for hours gives you a lot of time to reflect. It’s amazing what thoughts keep you going: family and loved ones cheering for you on the course and from far away, how cancer patients keep fighting, and realizing that you are fortunate to be able to do this so don’t give up!

What a day!! The Garmin KC Marathon is the hilliest marathon I’ve run and possibly the most rewarding. Ecstatic with having placed 3rd in my age group and so grateful for the opportunity to push myself.

Day 1 of #ENDO2025 has started! Meeting friends and colleagues, impactful presidential address, two forward-thinking plenaries, and coming up this afternoon…the poster of Linlan Qiao! Please go say hi (SAT-671) at 12:15pm and hear about all the great work he’s been doing during his PhD so far.

A first post on this platform all the way from Norway! A pleasure being an opponent for Sina Takle’s thesis defense at U Bergen, hearing about her great work and meeting everyone, including Dr Nils Halberg and Dr Karl-Johan Malmberg. Not to mention the fabulous experiences in Tromsø, Flåm and Oslo
