Ugh, not another social to algorithm train... at least it's not a billionaire blowhole.
Tinsel trees again? This is a recession indicator, right? $10 in tinsel for the whole tree instead of $10 per ornament.

Passing out Halloween candy? Consider adding in some food. With SNAP being withheld in October, the extra food can be essential to feeding kids. Mac and cheese cups tend to be a hit.

What do 7 million people look like? It's the equivalent to the population of 8 states combined - Wyoming, Vermont, Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Delaware, Rhode Island, and Montana.

I only own 2 yellow shirts for tomorrow. One has Darth Vader saying "Together we can rule the galaxy" and the other is a Blockbuster T. I figure Darth Vader one is the least appropriate for the situation...

Single stitch crochet is my favorite. All of the stabbing through yarn, none of the counting.

Reminder to add "Rex Manning Day" calendar holds on your work calendar. In hindsight, this should have been a noon hold titled "Bring Rex his lunch".

Me too, Garfield. Me too.
Reminder to call your senators and representative often!

My new years resolution was to limit myself to only purchasing one item of clothing a month. I actually made it 2.5 months without buying any clothes, but caved on this awesomely dumb shirt today from The Toadies.

It would be funny, except it's true, so, ew.

Yup. Boycott. Call your senators and representative (202) 224-3121 for a switchboard operator to direct you.

Watching my dog pee on stuff. It's about the same result as the sotu, but friendlier puppy.

My dog. My view is kinda the same as if I would be watching politics on TV tonight.

Making a blanket again (my need to create mindlessly has increased since, um, late January). Anyhoo, even though I'm gonna gift this, it's gonna cost me about $120 in yarn to make a big throw blanket (appx 80 inches x 60 inches), and likely 100+ hours. This is why handmade is expensive to buy.

I'm seeing lots of talk about Tesla stock (it's a good chunk of someone's estimated wealth). As of today, the stock is finally just under where it was when the 2024 election took place. These 3ish months have been an overinflated burst. How low can we make it go? There are better, cheaper cars.

Economic blackout Friday Feb 28.

Reminder 1: This is is intended to "hit" the big organizations. It's ok to shop small, shop local, shop politically/DEI friendly.

Reminder 2: This is just the start. It's practice. Plan to CONTINUE to "speak with your wallet". Big changes take time. We start now.
