So, I haven't done any book work this week as I needed some thinking space (I'm ahead of schedule though so I'm not too worried). Did I rest? Kinda 😅 this latest piece is based on panel 25 of the Bayeux Tapestry (chart by Roland Designs on Etsy 🧶)
A knitted reimagining of panel 25 of the Bayeux Tapestry in beige and rust coloured yarn. There is a bird, maybe a Griffin, and then some kinda long-tongued beast on the border. Bird detail on knitted panel. It looks like a stork. Or maybe a swan. Difficult to tell. This guy could be a Griffin, but also maybe a bog-standard lion or a dog. I think this last guy might be some kinda dragon, actually. Again, hard to tell.

No book work today, just strolling through the Wye Valley 🍂🍄🍁 plus bonus green men/foliate head carvings which apparently date from the 13th century

I am also working full-time and knitting furiously in-between having my dinner and falling asleep on the sofa at 8pm.
A half finished knitted tapestry in purple and pink acrylic yarn. The finished item will depict a mythological lady, possibly a Valkyrie, but it's hard to tell from the pattern tbh. Pattern is from the online Antique Pattern Library.

Some of my recent projects, all based on charts by saylessknits except the goats from WitchWolfWeb Creations on Pinterest 🧶
Two knitted tapestries, one is of Pinhead from the Hellraiser films, and the second is a quote from Milton's Paradise Lost - "better to reign in hell than serve in heaven." A knitted swatch with two pink goats facing each other and a white background A knitted tapestry based on Dante's Inferno with skull, rat, spiral, tree, and staircase motifs. The background is cream and the details and patterns are blue.

It's Friday, I'm now on A/L, and I've just finished this bad boi. Mistakes were made but happy that it's legible overall ✌️⛓️ will block eventually (as in soak in water and dry to relax the tension in the stitches)

When I'm not writing for work or my book, I like to torture myself by taking on complicated knitting projects which haunt my dreams 🤣⛓️ I've already made some big mistakes but will see it out til the bitter end as it would be a waste of good suffering, ba-dum-cha! 😜

Final balcony update (for now): I think we've had a total of around 10-11 clematis blooms but they are now slowly starting to go over. It's been a real treat 🌸🌺🌼💠

Balcony update 🌼🌺🌸
