Stopped by campus to check on a book delivery. Instead, I found this oversized hate mail in my university mailbox. They even used the NAACP as the return address.

This is what it means to be a Black scholar who tells the truth. I will not be silenced.

Here’s today’s hate mail. It’s likely in response to my quote in USA Today about the reparations bill. When journalists ask for my thoughts, I don’t sanitize the truth. I speak it. Messages like this only prove that honesty still rattles cages. #TruthTeller #Unbothered #StillSpeakingUp
