Very weird. Based on my recent clinical encounters (Sanders County) I would expect something other than green for Montana 🤧😷🥴🤮🤒

I had the opportunity to listed to Dr. Ibrahim speak this past weekend. Highly promising green light therapy studies for chronic pain/migraines/fibromyalgia/PTSD. #IntegrativeMedicine #AWCIM

VERY interesting. Docs caring for patients with high social needs are more likely to be burned out? Or docs with less support to address social needs (do they do it themselves) are more burned out?

Right? This one was memorable because it was so egregious. But it happens a lot where the inpatient stay is initially denied. So much stress for patients to not know if their insurance will cover them and ridiculous waste of clinician and staff time preparing peer-to-peers and appeals

I think this is a great question. Certainly insurance isn’t meant to provide unlimited care. But it seems like it’s gone overboard with denials. People are entitled to use their insurance for medical needs. Some insurances seem to routinely not be holding up their end of the bargain

Hospitalist
Sodium <110. Symptomatic. 3% saline infusion. Expected time to correct this safely was estimated at 3 days, with intensive labs and fluid monitoring. Admitted to ICU status. Insurance denied, stated it should be observation.
