At the risk of responding to a potentially rhetorical question, I have a thought.

Your guide dog is good because her motivation is to meet your expectations. Can you communicate the rules of the change you want, and rely on her already-present motivation?

Practical advice to acknowledge that a person with a disability has a complex &personal experience. Not something that can be grasped in a moment.

Empathy without diminishing their lived experience.
