Gaining democratic freedoms are a lengthy struggle l stated yesterday. It is the greater part of the #africanamericanlegacy in the #🇺🇸 USA. Organize locally, remember that the Montgomery Bus Boycott was a local one connected to local struggles everywhere! This continues to be our fight today!

I’m thrilled for Marcus Freeman’s football 🏈 success! l’d be remiss not mentioning #tyronewillingham who was fired after 2 years! 5 years is needed to build/rebuild an organization. I wish Freeman well, but know if he hadn’t assembled an excellent team quickly he’d be applying for unemployment.

I love #RobertaFlack’s cover of #BalladofSadYoung best written by #FransLandesman in 1958! Who knew it foretold of me #shamsud-dinbaharjabbar. #neworleans In search 👀of faith and a masculinity to live by!
“All the sad young men
Drifting through the town
Drinking up the night
Trying not to drown”

I began this book in 2016, it was published in 2022. It is beautifully written and continues to find its audience. I hope you will consider reading it this #MLKDay2025 and recommend it other readers on the subject of democracy and Black America. Purchase it at your favorite bookstore or online
