Released #onthisday in 1958 is the film I met one of the best friends I've had in my life: House on Haunted Hill.

Wasn't the first time I'd worked with Castle. Was the first time I worked with Vincent.

He used to have me over while he cooked and we'd talk for hours. Miss you, buddy.

What’s Dr. Jarm #nowwatching?

Repo! The Genetic Opera: A cult rock opera that comments on the ability of capitalism to supersede humanity as bodies become a method of economic gain.

Also, Giles from Buffy uses a dead guy like a puppet. Sick.

UChicqgo updated my faculty page with my new headshot. Finally. The old one was from the 90s when I wrote my best seller: “Playing Possum: Marsupial Vilification in Horror”

Anyway, here's three shots I ruined because I was on a bender.

I'm still proud of the kid. Stellar movie.

I'm in Nova Scotia. Rarely left this one bar. Randy let me sleep in the alley and always left me his rinds and crusts.

This kid, George Mihalka, comes in. Needs help on his flick. A guy had quit when his wife left him. I get the guy's pain, and I get how stuck George is. I agree to take his place.

Today marks 44 years since the release of of My Bloody Valentine, so it's story time.

Picture it: 1980. A year since Tom Atkins stole my wife AND my dog on the set of The Fog (Cheryl hadn't even wanted the dog, but I digress.) I needed to get away, and I had just stopped teaching at Columbia.

This isn’t a mojo dojo casa house. It’s a mojo dojo casa home.

To christen the bitch: my first review from Twitter.

A classic slasher movie. The tension is beautifully built, and Jamie Lee Curtis earns her scream queen title. Carpenter, however, squanders the opportunity to devillainize possumkind.
