I’ve seen Manchester change a lot over the years, as a visitor rather than as a resident, I see in stark contrast the changes between visits, old Manchester and its industrial heritage is being slowly swept away like it is an inconvenience to the developers vision of modernity

I’ve seen Manchester change a lot over the years, as a visitor rather than as a resident, I see in stark contrast the changes between visits, old Manchester and its industrial heritage is being slowly swept away like it is an inconvenience to the developers vision of modernity

4 hours to get home last night, 1.5 of which on foot. Got to see the operational incident up close, looks like a derailment to me. Could’ve been worse, I wasn’t grumbling like everyone else..

So, a couple of weekends ago I was up in Manchester, took a couple of pics of #hotspurpress - the pesky council van was ruining the view, that’s ok, I’ll take some better photos next time… another reminder to not put things off.

I just read a memorial post about the sad loss of Gary Speed 13 years ago, someone I got to watch in action with Everton many years ago. It reminded me of this great video by Norwich City. You don’t have to be in to football for this video’s message to hit home.

Lovely weekend in London Town. Favourite riverside hotel, cycling between beers, burlesque competition (watching I hasten to add), Shake Shack (thanks for recommending, tho my wallet hates me) and rounded off with They Might Be Giants at The Roundhouse.
