Creating Equalz is a partner in the Pamoja Njia Bora Programme (Together, We’ll Find the Best Path Forward) - a specialist response to those causing harm across Black, African, Caribbean, and Mixed Heritage communities, developed as part of the Drive Partnership’s National Systems Change work.

This pivotal change will put children’s safety at the centre of Family Court decision-making, where it has always belonged, and is the result of tireless campaigning by Claire Throssell MBE and others across the sector to ensure that children’s lives are not put at risk due to unsafe contact orders.

Following the BBC Panorama investigation earlier this month and the 2023 Casey Review, this review and the lack of transparency around it is further evidence of deep-rooted systemic issues causing harm to Black, minoritised, and migrant communities.

The open letter calls on the Government to scrap its May 2025 White Paper, which will deepen the hostile environment already being faced by migrant victim-survivors of violence and exploitation.

Every woman deserves safety, dignity and justice, regardless of immigration status.
