Empowering strategic enrollment management in higher education
Good to know our PSIS work doesn’t go stale between when we did it and when it gets published.

A colleague was able to join and said it was really informative. Well done!

Oh that sounds way better than the average. I’m still trying to top a Japanese hotel we stayed at that had a drawer with 10 pour over coffee varieties plus a handful of green teas to pick. No limit caffeine (wheeeeee)

Definitely. Easy trap as I think a lot of people are hoping for review. Interesting how weights are handled in different jurisdictions - imho esp when weights are done at subnational level vs or coupled with weights internal to institutions. But either way doesn’t impact total funding in aggregate.

the one piece I think could have merit in a funding review is checking if the weightings are still logical. IMHO this should be done as a matter of course not a one off. But the likelihood that technology and scale has dropped costs enough to change the weights substantially is slim.

Shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic. Potentially some chairs would stay out of the water longer.

I was hoping that maybe the "grad students are no longer counted towards the cap" was the beginning of the door opening even a little to the feds acknowledging these changes didn't work quite as they expected. Alas, that hope appears misplaced.

Emphasis on item 3:
Financial sustainability: Explore broad opportunities to address both short-term and long-term financial challenges.
Certainly suggests a level of shared services may be pushed, particularly on institutions that have had to do substantive layoffs

I pick three days to go out of the service area, and this drops!
Some related initiatives may be a part of this too. There's lots of talk of a common ERP. Depending on who you talk to, this could be helping the Colleague institutions modernize, or could be all. Tough road as everyone unique.

Great read! I wonder how he did in college too.

Expecting to see a lot more announcements like this one near term

Thanks so much! its a creative way of looking at this kind of data so I hope it will capture the imagination of engineers who are new to visualization.

This is really neat! Would you be amenable to me showing it to my students at UBC (Vancouver, Canada) next term as we study dataviz and maps?

Bah. This was much better than the Passmo bus.

Including the app itself, I trust.
