Pierced by season’s
sudden changes,
a landscape maple
bleeds red leaves,
staining freshly,
fallen snow.

Today, in 1863, Lincoln Gave the Gettysburg Address

"Four score and seven years ago", a speech by President Abraham Lincoln at the dedication of the Soldiers' National Cemetery in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, a few months after the Battle of Gettysburg, one of the turning points of the Civil War.

Let us all be calm please!!
No need to blow up my inbox with nasty comments, and threatening words. We all have a right to an opinion, I don't take people on when I disagree, I either keep my mouth shut, I don't attack them for nothing, I try to understand their view or explain in a nice way.

My heart is crying for the United States of America, Ukraine, and South Africa. The two leaders from the USA and SA, is not taking up their responsibility to fight corruption, rather they let people fight each other, while the Ukraine has the only president who fights among his people for freedom.

Welcome one and all my new followers, I just short about 23 then I would also have a good number of people that I'm following. For those who didn't make it, your profile picture must have a picture of you on it, not an emoji or strange pictures, and people flaunting the want for sex you're blocked.

What do you call a white creeping rose that is showing it can have single buds as well as clustered buds? Just a rose. And the insects, love it, especially the bees.

A brown iris.
One can see Spring is slowly waning, although we have had a lot of rain, in my neck of valley, which is strange for this time of year.

A climbing white rose.
Early Spring flowers are starting to die, while others are starting to bloom.
The vegetable garden is also growing along nicely.

The little things in life, a wild petunia showing some age.
Flowers need to look natural, that's what nature is for.

I always wonder why it's called Moses In A Basket, I don't see any baskets nearby. And some bug had a munch of the flower petals, perhaps it was something tasty.

Existence - 11/10/2025

Every story worth telling
exists within something new,
riverboats flowing down rivers
candles burning wax falling skew.

Your mind a paper of thoughts,
animals greet with a howl or a scowl
fishes caught in a tidal pool,
hazy clouds to stare at not for a howl.

Sparks In Silence - 11/10/2025

Slowing down the streets run uneven,
moisture fills the air like car fumes,
escape to green space protection,
noticing time not a reason given.

Ignite
land bright
move forward fight.

Cold brings softness in the weather,
chasing summer away,
a heart inside heather.

I am as random as random can be.
Sometimes I wonder how true that actually is.
You should see me when I am working the garden, it takes me a few hours to make up mind whether I want to keep a certain weed or pull it all out. Then again wait it has a flower, now where is my camera?

Writers get your pens and thinking hats for some inspiration...
The sea never stands still. The golden glow of the setting sun met the waves for just a second.
Why can't I find inspiration like this when I really have to write? Why do I need to read on it on Bluesky updates?

Story begins...
"It was a dark and stormy night..."
The 5th book I've read starting so, the authors are not related in any way, although 2 know about each other.
Really wondering why people can't find other words to describe a storm.
Maybe... Thunder and lightning ricochets from the sky.

Jane Goodall was a fierce advocate for primates, and an environmentalist of extraordinary character. I admired her
my entire adult life. What she did for science and women in science is also part of her legacy. She will be missed.

A golden hush on rippling glass.
Reeds like sentries let the evening pass.
Roots clutch the earth in patient prayer.
The warm light burning in quiet air.
Day sinks softly without a sound.
Heaven touching the soggy ground.

“Hope is often misunderstood. People tend to think that it is simply passive wishful thinking: I hope something will happen but I’m not going to do anything about it. This is indeed the opposite of real hope, which requires action and engagement.”

Dr Jane Goodall

Rest in peace.
