Yes they do not need it but I want to throw in Anno 1800 that just got better with all the options the seasons provided 😅
It was not necessary but it certainly helped to shape the gane into the masterpiece that it is now

Yes absolutely because the HD Version had a few slowdowns but more importantly it had a lot of QoL Stuff that made the game much better

But this applies to the homescreen as well no?
I mean it is a joy to boot up the WiiU or 3DS as there is a tune playing in the background and with the 3DS it even changes the sounds of choosing an item when using the Smash Bros Theme for example.
It had so much more personality than the switch
