I read a book that was in the school's library when I was in elementary school. It was pretty thick and each page was written to look more like a poem (short passages). I can't remember the name, but it fucked me up more than the fanfics I found. It included self harm, drug use, etc.

And all I can do while they’re taking samples is rant here like I’m screaming in an empty room because I don’t really have anyone to talk to about this right now. Not when my friends are all dealing with issues of their own.

I’ve had this cat since I was entering high school and I really can’t handle losing her. She’s at *least* 16 years old and they’re doing bloodwork and some urine testing but it could be thyroid, kidney, or diabetes.
