A lot of people are still stuck in the early 1900s. Was the U.S. the leader in a bunch of areas of modernization? Yes.

However, the rest of the work adapted and improved on a lot of things we did and the U.S. has lagged behind. The inability to acknowledge others did it better holds us back.

Family name recognition is the worst in politics. I’d love if there was a rule the kids and siblings of an office holder couldn’t hold that same office. Make it at least skip a generation.

This is a lying with statistics deal. Just with a brief web search, it appears that 97% is based on all cities in the U.S.

In terms of large cities, they are like 55th for violent crime and 35th for total crime (including property crime).
