Today we honor Cesar Chavez (March 31, 1927 – April 23, 1993). Chavez was an organizer of migrant American farmworkers and cofounder of the NFWA. In 1965 he led a strike by California grape pickers and a nationwide boycott of California grapes that attracted support from throughout the country.
