Solar and Curtas Vila do Conde are hosting an exhibition from Maryam Tafakory, with many of her film works.

I tried to write about Maryam’s work for the leaflet: her mastery in speaking about national cinema, touch, violence, censorship, and the women’s place.

Nos primeiros 2 anos do Batalha, o Paulo Cunha e eu programamos a Seleção Nacional. O Batalha publica agora um livro que arquiva o trabalho que fizemos — tanto sobre o cinema português, a sua história e os seus fantasmas; como da proposta de curadoria, organizada em constelações.

Happy to collaborate in the book “Dive-In: Design In Projection”, with a text on the cinema of Teddy Williams — “Impasse and Indulgence in Eduardo Williams”, mostly drawing in Lauren Berlant theory, and her concept of impasse.

X-Novo is a new film program at Batalha Centro de Cinema, in Porto. I was fortunate to curate it with such good programmers: Delphine Jeanneret, Adam Piron, Jacqueline Nsiah and the artistic team of Batalha, Guilherme Blanc, Lídia Queirós and Justin Jaeckle.
