Helped by a schedule that, unlike other years, strangely does not feature the other top teams, this UConn team won’t be challenged till maybe the Final 4. Sarah Strong might be on way to becoming best Huskie of all time.

No way Chelsea can defend Saboly for 7 game series

Smith had 5 fouls but why in the world was Gustafson on floor for last 6 minutes? Her lack of rebounding and poor defense killed the Aces.
September 28, 2025 at 9:48 PM
Disagree; with 3 pt lead Carlton should not have left Copper to chase rebound which caused rotational imbalance. Happens all the time: see SA leaving Ray Allan wide open

Sabrina heading to HOF, but she has major weaknesses, especially lack of foot speed (might be slowest perimeter player in W).

If u watch last play Malonga was horrible defending the screen leaving Jewel wide open
September 17, 2025 at 3:49 AM
Why have inexperienced big Malonga on floor defending 3 pt lead last 4 seconds?

Minny will go all out at home to beat GS; they don’t want to deal with Sea (given them lots trouble with their size).
September 10, 2025 at 4:13 AM
With LV win tonite they have zero chance of moving to 3 seed
September 10, 2025 at 3:51 AM
Better scenario: lose to Indy tonite; Sea beats GS; then Minny can beat GS at home Thursday, making Valkyries their 1st round opponents rather than more dangerous Indy/Sea

While all 3 r rookies, worth considering that PB is almost 3 yrs older than the Frenchwomen. ?room to grow + longevity
September 1, 2025 at 6:39 PM
With this win & only 4 home games left (including lowly Chi), tough to see Seattle falling to #8 seed.
August 29, 2025 at 2:09 AM
Malonga surging but just like 4 yrs ago when Tina moved into starting lineup, Ezi is disappearing. Coach has to do better job integrating her.
August 24, 2025 at 9:05 PM
That TV font was incorrect; Phx was 6 pt favorites.

League sources say salaries r going to at least quadruple with max $1 mil. I think owner ace in hole is players like say Maddy Siegrist are not forfeiting a $300k season so Stewie can make $2 mil and there r a lot more of the non stars that will be voting on new CBA.
August 6, 2025 at 4:27 PM
Fun article but one correction: LA has no lottery possibilities b/c they traded their #1 pick to Seattle in the Plum/Loyd 3 way trade.
August 5, 2025 at 3:04 PM
Nice to see all the committed owners from the earlier days are now sitting on gold mines
August 2, 2025 at 6:23 PM
Did not accompany team on this one game road trip; certainly an indication not close to playing

Unusual aspect of this labor negotiation is that no matter what, players are going to get a huge salary bump. While stars want much more, it is possible the rank and file will take say a quadrupling in pay.

Corey Gaines (ex Phx Mercury champion coach ) Japan’s head coach
July 19, 2025 at 5:34 PM
Smith got 5th foul early 4q leaving Gustafson to defend Wash bigs= disaster
July 11, 2025 at 1:50 AM
Subtract Clark (Hayes also); add mediocrity plus inexperienced rookies
July 3, 2025 at 11:32 PM
Huge change in sport: Players throughout world like Kaitlyn Chen, Chloe Bibby & Lucy Olsen can plan for long pro careers with likely minimum of $250k
June 30, 2025 at 2:22 PM
Don’t think any other W team could lose 4 key players to Euros and still succeed.
June 30, 2025 at 1:05 AM
I have to factor in the coming explosion in W salaries with new CBA which will draw every top level foreigner. Talking likely 250k minimum and 1 mil max (at least)
