Thursday, the Maryland Commission for LGBTQIA+ Affairs had a closed door hour and a half long meeting with Governor Moore. The focus of the meeting was the dire need for decisive action to further support transgender Marylanders and their families in the face of attacks at the federal level.

The Maryland General Assembly is considering a joint resolution on DEI. The hearing is scheduled for 3/13 with testimony due on 3/11. I am sharing what I prepared in case anyone is inclined to submit similar testimony or contact their MDGA representatives. #MDGA25 #mdpolitics

I was in Annapolis yesterday to testify on SB943- Family and Law Enforcement Protection Act. This bill will save lives. There should be no ambiguities in the process of disarming domestic abusers. Intimate partner violence & gun violence are inextricably linked #mdga25 #mdpolitics #momsareeverywhere

Yesterday Maryland @momsdemand.bsky.social volunteers dropped off BeSMART materials about safe firearm storage practices to Harford County Public Schools. Materials will be sent to every home with an elementary student with digital materials to follow for the parents and guardians of older students

Every year Moms Demand Action volunteers and survivors spend a day in Annapolis meeting in person with legislators to voice our concerns and appreciation.
