The NHS Race and Health Observatory has signed a ground-breaking agreement with NICE to de-bias current clinical guidelines, and to ensure the development of future guidelines and interventions do not have bias built-in at design stage.

We've released a resource to help healthcare professionals spot jaundice in babies with dark skin tones. Together we can improve assessment of jaundice, prevent treatment delays, and tackle ethnic inequalities in neonatal healthcare.

We’re delighted that the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence has today approved a groundbreaking gene therapy, Exa-cel, for use in the NHS with people living with sickle cell disorder.
We must now work to make this therapy widely accessible.
