Between private equity buying up everything that’s not moving and AI trying to unemploy everything that does, we’re allowing a corporate technocracy to quietly but openly destroy the country and no one in Washington has even faked outrage about it.

All of the criticism of people like Biden, Pelosi, Schumer etc. has been valid, but let's not forget how much of a quisling piece of trash John Robert is. Presiding over the worst Supreme Court in ~100 years, Roberts has turned SCOTUS into a cudgel, beating democracy to death.

I felt my daughter kick for the first time yesterday and I’ll be damned if that isn’t the best feeling in the whole fucking world.

The Democratic Party is done. They just destroyed themselves.

The Democrats are done.

I adore this thing.

Just submitted my manuscript to the editor. So now we wait. And with any luck at all, maybe I’ll be able to announce some big news in a couple months.

Looking at our ultrasound pictures and seeing my daughter's tiny little feet gives me a shot of serotonin unlike anything I've ever experienced.

Fun fact; if you use Grammarly on a paper, AI detectors will flag it, even if you “wrote” all of it. Why? Because Grammarly is still AI, using similar algorithms as things like ChatGPT.

I hate the smarmy AI stans who're like "Oh so profs use AI to catch AI? So hypocritical! You must not be good at catching it!" So fucking dumb. We 100% can tell without the detectors. But because admins are cowards and won't take ban it, they tell us that "being able to tell," while effective at

OpenAI asking for a $1 trillion bailout from the government, after an expansion that can only be described as reckless, is not just peak corporate-socialism, but a great demonstration of why I have been telling you that AI is bad. These people are dragons, and they won't stop until that get you.

The debate isn't between Chicago vs New York style pizza. Both of them are fine at best. The real debate is Detroit vs New Haven style.

Now that NYC has a democratic-socialists s a mayor, I offer my services to the uninformed to answer any and all questions about what that is/isn't, what socialism is/isn't, what communism is/isn't, and why Mamdani is not going to turn NYC into the USSR.

Anyone who markets themselves as a "PhD Coach" is a grifter trying to take you for a ride. No self-respecting PhD will ever charge you for advice or help. I have a PhD; you can always reach out to me if you need advice. Don't spend money on something you can find for free.

This is way closer than I’d like it to be but Charlotte appears set to unlock an absolutely massive infrastructure plan with the 1% sales tax increase with billions for public transit and roads up by just shy of 8k votes with almost all precincts in.

What’s hilarious is that 26 billionaires spending $22 million is like 25 of my friends and I spending a combined $2000 or so. Like, they could’ve REALLY tipped the scales if they wanted to, but they 1) knew it wasn’t worth it and, 2) are too cheap to actually put their money where their mouths are.
26 billionaires spent over $22 million to beat Zohran Mamdani.

Why? Because regular people came together around an agenda that prioritized making life easier for more people. It beat big money.

That is how we win.

From Georgia to California, Virginia to New York City, these were resounding victories tonight. Progressives and liberals winning by huge margins and in historic places.

This was a clear rebuke of Trump and the Republican Party.

There is a 1:1 relationship between how fucking dumb society is currently and how much we’ve devalued the humanities. You don’t have this kind of stupid bullshit when you study history, literature, languages, philosophy, and the arts.

The YouTubeTV-Disney dick measuring contest is proof that we literally can’t have nice things. Our political leaders are so beholden to laissez-faire neoliberal capitalism that they’d rather let corporations gouge us to death than regulate anything at all. They take everything.

So dozens of major U.S. companies are laying off workers, thousands if not tens of thousands. AI is destroying the workforce and that bubble is about to explode.

I've been saying it for 2 months; we are in a recession, and it's not even close to as bad as it's going to get.
