I had the same thought. Go after the policy you actually want. The counterargument (if you can call it that) will be the same. They will say your program [is socialism] / [gives stuff to "illegals"] / [indoctrinates kids] even if you specifically avoid that. So why compromise in advance?

What, in the mind of this person, qualifies as *organic* discontent? Seems like he's saying "You're too organized to be real discontent."
