When I was a kid in the Maritimes in the 80s and 90s, I loved catching butterflies, especially the little bluish purple ones. But I haven't seen one in as long as I can remember. Honestly, the only butterflies I see these days are cabbage whites. Weird.

My wife and I haven't bought bacon for years. I miss having a bottle of bacon grease to cook with. But I'm chubby enough as it is without the bacon lol.

Went out for a walk and a neighbor gave me free tomatoes. Everyone that has space should be growing a little food. Even if you don't need or want it, someone in your community would.

16 degrees Celsius and windy. Lots of clouds. My favorite type of day.

I've been putting off getting a blood test for a few days because I always almost pass out during them. I'm not great with the adulting.

I recently discovered I might be autistic. To be fair, I probably should have figured out something was up a long time ago, given I have a hard time making eye contact...even with my wife I've been with for 23 years. Things are making sense now at least.

Made a chili bean and lentil soup this morning. Might as well be full of fiber as I watch the world burn.

I've never actually had a scotch egg but I could go for like a dozen of them right about now.

I really want to stop sleeping in, but I also really want to sleep in. Reality kinda sucks right now so the less I'm awake and witnessing it the better.

I find it suspicious that my Canadian based Etsy shop hasn't had a sale since the US inaguration. Haven't went this long without a sale in over 10 years. Averaged a sale a day over those 10 years.

Having my Christmas dinner today. The star of turkey dinners in my family has always been loads of summer savory in everything. Best dried herb!

I've reached the age where the most exciting part of my day is watching the blue jays fight over sunflower seeds. 20 year old me would be disappointed.

I love that my neighbors think revving up their 20 year old crapbox of a car will somehow fix it.
