Biomarkers and proven therapeutics remain elusive but I was hugely heartened by the intellectual calibre of the scientists working on this & their collaborations

I agree. ME/CFS is a highly heterogeneous condition, a single diagnostic test and single biomedical therapy effective for all or even the majority seem to me highly implausible.
