Performative faith
Many of those now in power who identify with a faith either believe they're in the right or, I think MUCH more often, wear the cross to fool the voters and expect no divine consequences for their actions. I think many don't truly believe, but hope the voters do.

Sick of billionaires naming awful companies with words from beloved works of fiction. Palantiri are the Seeing Stones made by Feanor not surveillance state. Anduril is Aragorn's sword not drones and Grok means to truly understand and fully empathize with another being. Musk thinks empathy is weak.

Now at least the superpowered team-up of Rachel Maddow and Stephen Colbert I dream of can happen.
