I’m pleased to share my new article in Tizard Learning Disability Review: “Fairness-Informed Practice: How People with Intellectual Disabilities Want to Be Treated by Services Responding to Domestic Violence and Abuse.”
2024 was great. I got married, achieved my PhD, drafted a real co-produced autism strategy for a local authority etc. However nothing compares to the fortitude and strength of mind my wife shows in the face of complex interacting health conditions. That is real inspiration.

When writing my PhD I couldn’t apply to do all the exciting academic stuff due to unpaid carer responsibilities. Now I have more time, I threw my hat in the ring and… the British Sociological Association accepted my abstract for the 2025 Annual Conference #britsoc2025
