“Science and technology do not have values in themselves. It is we human beings who have values. And it is the responsibility of scientists and technologists, both as specialists and as citizens of the world, to help advise policy makers and governments,” Alan Lightman and Martin Rees write.
How Scientists Can Be Good Citizens
We have a responsibility to ensure that our discoveries are used in the public interest. That isn’t always easy.

Hello America 👋
Extraordinary scenes in Serbia’s capital Belgrade right now.

Around 500,000 people are on the streets in what may be the biggest protest in Serbian history. All demanding the resignation of President Vučić & his government.

What began as a student protest is now a full democratic uprising.

Did you know the most powerful force for climate action is LOVE—for our children, their future, and the world they’ll inherit?

That's right! Research shows this message moves hearts 12x more than jobs and 2x more than extreme weather.

Yet because their voices are so loud and persistent, people often think they’re 50%.
