A-level English, voluntary work, delayed citizenship: it’s Labour’s Orwellian Two Minutes Hate for immigrants | Nesrine Malik
It’s easier for politicians to blame others than to face the truth: Britain has been stripped of the spaces and opportunities that allow for true social integration, says Guardian columnist Nesrine Ma...

“Does this still look like dystopian fiction to you? Perhaps a better way of framing the question is to go back two decades, pretend that the ethnic cleansing of the United Kingdom was your ultimate goal, and ask how satisfied you would be with how things had turned out.”
What is the endgame in this toxic immigration debate: is it friends and neighbours thrown out of the country? | Jonthan Liew
The notion of remigration was abstract, but the right is dragging it towards respectability. If the goal is homogeneous whiteness, they should say it, says Guardian columnist Jonathan Liew

If true, this is a terrible mistake, especially with the prospect that solar panels would be optional. The failure to have a clear vision and get the basics right is demoralising and irresponsible. No wonder the young people I teach feel angry at politicians on climate change action.

Something interesting behind the world record story: “Supporting the project is Grant Romundt, from Canada. Both he and Koch have grander visions linked to the libertarian -- and at-times controversial -- "seasteading" movement that envisions ocean-based communities outside government control.”

There are probably easier ways to set a world record, but Rudiger Koch has found his method 11 meters (36 feet) under the sea.
