When I teach a class about #Africa or the #GlobalSouth, during the 1st week of classes, I do an activity where I ask students to write down the first 3 words or phrases that come to their mind when they see the word “Africa”/“Third World”. Inevitably we get the usual negative images and tropes. >>>
