Bernie is great, has high ideals. But just proposing this over and over isn't going to make it happen. He has to figure out how to convince Magats that this is good for the country. You don't build consensus by abandoning the Democratic party because you disagree.

Multiple research studies...like all of them...have identified training at a young age as healthy and protective against injuries. Like taking your kid to T ball. So that one comment reveals your ignorance. They compete with fewer drugs (only Lasix) than any human sport.

Horses die in fields, in stables, owned and cherished by children. And on the racetrack. The annual death rate of pets..dogs and cats is higher by an order of magnitude than racehorses. Cherry pick your data if you choose, but you are no different than an anti-vaxer if you do.

Lifelong racing participant and lover. The horses only race if they want to. Plenty of talented horses simply don't want to. Frustrating as an owner, but part of the gig. The vast majority of people in the industry would flip burgers at McD if they were greedy cuz it's more lucrative.
