I used to be a fencing coach. And one of my fencers’ father was a doctor. He explained that he gets home and does patient review as fast as he can and falls asleep at 11pm. Wakes up, rinse repeat.
We can assign 10 patients per doc, have them work no more than 6hrs/day and still spend less.

With private equity taking over hosp. admin, they’re demanding more work per doc. Each doc is assigned 40 patients. After seeing these 40, the doc has to do paperwork. At 6 min/patient, thats 240 minutes, or 4 hrs. After work. 4 unpaid hours.

We should. Healthcare should be a right. If we just pay the doctors and nurses and just all the people who actually do medical work, the savings would be huge. No more benefits managers, no administrators, billing specialists…

One possible reason why conservatives believe this: they don’t actually pay insurance. They’re completely uninsured. And when disaster happens, they demand thw government to make them whole.

There should not be any “health insurance plan”. You walk into a hospital, clinic, urgent care center, receive treatment, and then walk out. That’s how it should work. That’s the goal.
