The textbooks for my “Public Faith and Christian Nationalism” course are set.

I'm excited to welcome six guest lecturers and step out of my comfort zone with a major social media experiment/lab on inoculative messaging. Yikes!

Auditors are welcome...

Wrapping up a profound few days at the “Signs of the Times: Interdisciplinary Responses to Religious Nationalism” conference at Notre Dame.

It was a huge privilege to present a paper on the Bible and human security with @kdumez.bsky.social and @matthewdtaylor.bsky.social

Major takeaway from one of the world's foremost scholar practitioners of peacebuilding:

Don't underestimate the “unnoticed micro-spectacular" things you do to disrupt hate, fear, and toxic polarization (when it's safe to do so).

Happy New Year, friends!

Looking to read about how to counter Christian nationalism's threat to democracy and the church's public witness in 2025?

Fellow profs, has anyone had issues getting a desk copy from ⁦‪@OUPAcademic‬⁩?

I’ve got 17 students purchasing this book for my Revelation class. All they will offer is a 20% discount.

Fine, I’ll pay for it but publishers half their size don’t penny pinch on this. 🤔

Huge congrats to my many colleagues and friends who contributed to this massive project.

For those not in the know, this is the first Bible to my knowledge that includes curated study notes from scholars AND the people. ✊
