I was gonna say you gotta see Perversion Story, but pretty sure that’s Una SullAltra. She’s great in it, and it has the most amazing photography of late 60s SF.

I’m sure I’m preaching to the choir, but if the smoky aerial perspective of CE3K is your thing, you gotta check out 1941. Sound stage sized miniature sets that Fraker smoked out with progressive thickness levels to create their forced perspectives. Really cool big-budget stuff.

Totally a motion control shot, moving across this pull-apart miniature set at 1 frame per second. Its amazing work by Boss Films, only superseded by T2 as a contemporary.

One thing I’d like to add to the “magic camera” convo, is for my money is basically started with Tim Burton and this banger… him getting full studio backing and an insane pile of money to bring his vision to life…
