No, copyright protects the holder of the copyright, which does not have to be a corporation. Creators own their own copyright unless they’re creating it as work for hire. I own the copyright for all the artwork that I’ve ever made, except that which I’ve sold or created as work for hire.

Just because we can recognize that violating copyright isn’t the same as stealing a physical object doesn’t mean that creators want to get rid of all protection for their work.

This is the answer. Money is the only way to stop them. Strike. Boycott. Refuse to do business with fascists. Never let up. Constant pressure from every angle.
