Got mine in college, been lugging it with me ever since. I’m so attached to the design of that thing—and its sound—but most of all the switches, detented knobs, and the flywheel you mention. Brings a smile every time I use with it even 10 years later! Also fun knowing this thing will outlive me.

You're kinda responding to a post that suggests "stop binge drinking" with "hey prohibition is terrible!" but nobody said stop drinking in the first place. Doomscrolling is not a synonym for keeping informed.

What?? It's when people get glued to the phone, stuck scrolling for hours on end, soaking up distressing news and bad takes. Hit a lot of us during the pandemic days for obvious reasons. Has tie-ins with internet/phone addition.
