It was inspiring to be at Independence Mall in Philly with thousands of other protesters this past Saturday. Equality under the law was a radical idea 250 years ago. We haven't always lived up to this ideal, but it's a precious gift worth fighting for.

My novel "Wasteland Blues" is in LibGen, a pirated library of books and papers that Meta used to train AI models instead of licensing content. Curious if I'll get a royalty check, or maybe a coupon that lets me get one free pirating of Facebook code as an exchange?

I love that Bluesky is a place where someone with the handle "Professor Goose" can ask US Senator a legitimate question about data privacy and get a reasonable response. (I know it's probably Senator Wyden's staff, but it's still cool).
