After increased temperatures, melting glaciers get most of the press for climate change.
But melting permafrost is bad too.
It makes huge landslide clusters in the North. Millions of cubic meters of sediment entering rivers from these things.
These ones are Retrogressive Thaw Slumps (RTS)

This is after it melted and refroze in February. Basically a freeze-thaw rockfall onto nearly 1100 m of almost vertical icefalls, which stripped the whole thing and produced the ice chunk/rock/snow/frozen sand deposit you see in the photo.

I usually make tacos al corazon. I have done traditional steak & kidney pie before. These days, liver and kidneys mostly become dog snacks. She loves them.

I'm going to get a DNA test to figure out if these are muscaria or chrysoblema, which is something that has been bugging me since cryptic species chrysoblema first showed up on local mushroom lists
