Chemistry teacher. Will not be defeated by the red pen, twin offspring or whims of education policy.
Decent pub on platform 1 if stuck for a while. If stuck overnight, shout.

I spend so much time explaining that triple isn't necessary for A level. And unless students get more lesson time to do triple, a rush job is probably worse prep for A level than combined.

Both fair comments.

Have you looked at her family history? Significant proportion came to Britain to avoid antisemism.
Someone smart enough to get into Cambridge not able to reflect on their own family's migration patterns.
The weather is miserable enough without this kind of quote.

Accidentally managed similar with a tea light heating iodine in a boiling tube this week. Was aiming to show the vapour colour under the visualiser and gas tap location didn't work.
Will keep using tea lights in future.

Gina Rippon's book about autism and girls has a chapter on what is happening in the brain of people who mask / camouflage.
It's exhausting.

But also I still haven't forgiven the twins for rearranging my ribcage. That didn't need to change.

Does this need the assumption that it is bright enough without the lights on? Otherwise might not be able to see the pen and papers!

The A level equivalent had excellent resources, certainly pre 2017 spec.
Pretty good on current spec.

Did you ever teach that at GCSE? It was not a fun experience and was a major factor in choosing to move schools in 2014.
I say that as a fan of the A level chemistry salters.

First dance footage should be excellent!

Much like our extension.
So frustrating there isn't standard guidance... all rooms should have temperature control, HEPA filters as Bill suggests.
A checklist to meet every time as a minimum.

Building schools for the future needs to plan so much better for temperature control. Even choosing white blinds instead of black in a south facing classroom would help.

This was my 'something else' choice when @teachertapp.bsky.social asked about where we would spend money in education.
The built environment needs a better attempt at future proofing.

It had some scaffolding, I think it gave "I have a _____, Venus"

I did a languages cover lesson where they needed to complete sentences about the number of siblings that Prince Harry, Harry Potter and Serena Williams had. Very few had heard of more than one to access the task.
