The weekend was spent slamming through a project for a client. Things are mostly there, and now I'm in the phase where I'm making small fixes and adjustments. This is my favorite phase. The tasks are small but impactful, and I can cross off quite a few in the span of an afternoon. #freelance

Sometimes there is some miraculous productivity hack to solve the problem of having too much to do. Sometimes there's just actually too much work.

I guess part of me likes this time of year, when the sun sets at the end of my workday and the trees out my window are cast in yellow light as the birds sing and chirp.

Any time a client notes a duration of time, double or triple it. I learned this long ago with meetings, but also for little requests ("can you hop on a call for 10 minutes", which is never 10 minutes). It also applies to projects and any requests for reserved time in your schedule. #freelancing

I think that the entire idea of upvotes/downvotes/liking/etc.. has probably damaged society to a far greater degree than what we realize. (feel free to like or heart or whatever this post)

In response to the news, I find myself repeatedly saying, "we're better than this". But "we" really aren't. Purely from voter data, probably 30-40% of us are better than this.
