Despite being highly dexterous, our species only uses a small number of grips in daily life. Here is a sub-sample of grip types frequently used by Homo sapiens with Lower Palaeolithic tools (from Bird et al. 2024 PaleoAnthropology 2). (Thanks to my husband for being my hand model😂) #AcademicChatter
