People were peaceful until an unmarked large black SUV with sirens and loud bangs drove in swerving motions toward the protesters at the corner of Temple and Alameda. At that point some cardboard signs and water bottles were thrown.

Spent a couple hours with other protesters this afternoon near the Metropolitan Detention Center. The only mild violence I witnessed was entirely provoked.
