Doubt is the yoke of an active mind. Think before you act, consider what you say before you say it, and how much of what you are saying is actually true. Even your own feelings can be the product of conditioning by others. Ask any trauma survivor about compulsions.

In humanities supposed ivory tower of knowledge how many untruths are accepted because of this? How many thoughts not inferred from observation but rather manufactured to fit a purpose or narrative built into our collective understanding. How many hidden pavlovian responses have been hidden?

Our minds have been shaped by ideas and concepts that our teachers believed to be true because they have been taught to them, and not just education, the people we trust in our lives to teach and inform us, family and friends and parasocial influencers. Who learned these ideas largely from others.
