From what I’ve read, some docs don’t take ACA plans because in some states all those plans are HMOs with low reimbursement rates. If you call insurance co and ask for a navigator and they can’t find you a provider, then you can appeal to your state insurance commissioner re: insufficient network

It helps to remember you are dealing with an insurance company and not a health care company. They don’t want to spend resources on you. Can you call a provider directly?
