I got the Marvel comic adaptation from a comic shop about 5 years later and it was one of the coolest things I'd ever seen. Didn't see it until the Director's Cut was released on VHS. Discovered Dune the same way.

Simpler times

I believe I spent the entirety of July 1989 playing Mike Tyson's Punch Out.

The colors on this one are messed up. I remember an Amiga IFF of this with a yellow background. Probably still have it somewhere.

Finally watched this after originally seeing the images almost 33 years ago on GIFs Galore CDROM.

How long did you stare at this before you realized it's not a magic eye?

I bought the comic book at a comic shop in 1993 after seeing this image on the GIFs Galore CDROM.

It takes me back to BBS days and looking at the GIFs Galore CD with CSHOW for DOS on a 640x480 VGA monitor. Seeing the coolest "japanimation" I'd ever seen that I couldn't even watch in the US at the time but became obsessed with. My only other source for anime was Eclipse Comics.

I want to call this BBS so bad
