Public health official. Inaugural Fellow, Bloomberg American Health Initiative. Delta Omega. Daughter of an immigrant. Thoughts are my own.
If they really want to know if cod liver oil and vitamin A work, they need to stop the steroid asap. And then randomly select sick unvaccinated children to receive only those meds or one of them. This doesn’t happen since it’s unethical to kill a child you can save with real treatments.

Wait, what a great idea. If only there weren’t already hundreds of millions of dollars worth of public service announcements :60, :30 & :15 sec slots for radio, tv and social media. And documentaries, movies, books and investigative journalism, etc. 😐

Social media is a tool for recruitment. In this case, sharing unread media is self selection. But that is separate from actually reading & understanding recruitment of whatever study one is (not) reading.

I spend a fair amount of time saying:

The article doesn’t show what you think it does.

No one uses a p value of .10.

The data pool is too small.

Recruitment method?

Thats the wrong type of study design.

Teaching people to read the methods section is impossible.

When the issue is men attacking women and girls, why is the solution to punish trans women?
